What is Bilberry with Lutein?
Bilberry Extract with Lutein is a combination of two different natural products and is used to improve vision and to treat certain eye conditions including myopia, diabetic and hypertonic retinopathy, disorder of vision adaptation to darkness, dystrophic retina disease, macular degeneration of retina and cataracts. Bilberry with Lutein is high in antioxidants and works by improving photoreceptor functions, protecting the retina and lens from free radicals induced by light, and by screening and absorbing blue light from central zone of retina.

How is Bilberry with Lutein used?
Bilberry with Lutein comes in a box of 20 capsules. Each capsule contains the active ingredients:

• anthocyanidins (44.25 mg)
• lutein (6 mg)
• and zeaxantin (1.2 mg)

A generally recommended starting dosage is one capsule two to three a day. This can be reduced to one capsule daily as a maintenance dose.

Warnings
Bilberry with Lutein increases vascular flow by preventing blood platelets from clumping. This can be problematic if:

• you are taking medicines that can affect platelet aggregation (aspirin, warfarin, NSAIDs)
• you have a bleeding disorder such as peptic ulcers
