The medication works by slowing down the rate of skin cell reproduction to prevent thickened or scaly skin patches as well as reducing swelling, itching and redness of the skin. It is mainly prescribed in the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris and aims to clear patches of red, scaly skin called plaques as much as possible.

How is Daivobet Gel used?
Daivobet Gel is generally applied topically once per day, initially for four weeks unless otherwise directed by a doctor. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the patient’s condition and their response to the therapy. The maximum recommended dosage per week is 100 grams. Prior to applying the medication, wash and dry your hands and the affected area. Apply a thin layer of the medication to the affected area and gently massage it in until it disappears.
