What is Laxatone for Cats?
Laxatone for Cats is an all natural formulated lubricant used to prevent and eliminate hairballs in cats. The white petrolatum and light mineral oil based gel works by coating swallowed hair to allow it to pass easily through the pet’s intestinal tract. It can be used to prevent hair from clogging the digestive system. Some pet owners may also use the medication as a laxative for their pets.
How is Laxatone for Cats used?
Laxatone for Cats should be applied topically to the pet’s nose or paws to stimulate taste interest. The initial dosage is usually 1/2 to 1 teaspoonful for 2 to 3 days then 1/4 to 1/2 a teaspoonful 2 to 3 times per week as a maintenance dose.
