The drug works by affecting the genetic material of the cells being produced to interfere with the growth and spread of cancer cells in the body.

How is Merpurin used?
Merpurin is usually taken orally once per day or as otherwise directed by a doctor. The tablets can be taken with or without food but should be taken the same way each time. It should be taken with a glass of water and the patent should drink lots of fluids throughout the treatment to decrease any side effects. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the patient’s condition and their response to the therapy. If you need to cut the tablets, be careful not to breathe in the dust as it may be absorbed through the skin and lungs.
