What is Apo-Nadolol?
Apo-Nadolol containing the active ingredient nadolol belongs to a group of medication called beta blockers. The medication works by blocking the action of certain natural substances on the heart and blood vessels. It is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and to prevent chest pain (angina) by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow. Lowering blood pressure can help prevent kidney problems, strokes and heart attacks.
How is Apo-Nadolol used?
Apo-Nadolol is usually taken orally once per day or as directed by a doctor. The tablets can be taken with or without food but should be taken with a glass of water. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage as it will depend on the patientís condition and their response to the therapy. Do not discontinue the medication, even if you feel well, as most people with high blood pressure do not feel sick.
Patients using Apo-Nadolol may encounter unwanted side effects such as:

- Cold hands or feet
