What is Carloc 12.5?
Carloc containing the active ingredient carvedilol is considered a beta blocker type of medication. The medication works by slowing the heart rate and relaxing blood vessels to help the heart pump blood more smoothly and efficiently. It is mainly used to treat chronic heart failure and hypertension (high blood pressure). Some people may also use it after heart attacks to improve the chance of survival if the heart is not pumping well.

How is Carloc 12.5 used?
Carloc is usually taken orally twice per day or as directed by a doctor. The medication should be taken with some food along with a full glass of water. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the patient's condition and their response to the therapy. The doctor may start you on a low dose and gradually increase your dose to allow your body to adjust to the medication. Do not discontinue the medication without consulting a doctor, even if you feel well, as high blood pressure usually has no visible symptoms.

Adverse effects
Patients using Carloc may encounter unwanted side effects such as:

  • Dizziness
  • Nausea
  • Dry cough
