What is Cerecetam-400?
Cerecetam containing the active ingredient piracetam is considered a GABA analogues type of medication. It works by improving the brainís oxygen supply and altering the availability of the brainís supply of neurochemicals. The medication is used to control involuntary movements such as twitching and jerking of the muscles.
How is Cerecetam-400 used?
Cerecetam is usually taken 2 to 3 times per day or as directed by a doctor. The tablets can be taken with or without food but should be taken with a glass of water to wash it down as the medication has a bitter taste. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the patientís condition and their response to the therapy.
Patients using Cerecetam may encounter unwanted side effects such as:
- Increase in weight
- Mental or mood changes
Contact a doctor immediately should side effects persist or worsen.
Immediately proceed to your nearest emergency department if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.
Cerecetam-400 is not always suitable for all patients.
