What is Cyclomune Eye Drop?
Cyclomune Eye Drops containing the active ingredient cyclosporine and is considered an immunomodulator type of medication. It is used to treat certain types of eye conditions such as keratoconjunctivitis sicca. It works by reducing inflammation in the eyes to allow for additional tears production.

How is Cyclomune Eye Drop used?
Cyclomune Eye Drops should be applied to the affected eyes twice per day, evenly spaced 12 hours apart, or as directed by a doctor. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the patient’s condition and their response to the medication. Prior to applying the medication, turn the vial upside down a few times to obtain a uniformly white mixture in the bottle. To apply medication, tilt the head back slightly and pull down on the lower eyelid. Position the dropper above the eye, look away from the dropper and squeeze out a drop before closing your eye for 2 to 3 minutes. Press down on the tear duct and apply gentle pressure to prevent any leakage of medication. Repeat the process if necessary.

Adverse effects
Patients taking Cyclomune Eye Drops may encounter unwanted side effects such as:

  • Burning, stinging, pain, itchy eyes
  • Redness of the eye
  • Blurred vision
  • Overflow of tears
  • Eye discharge
  • Feeling something is in the eye

Contact a doctor immediately should side effects persist or worsen.

Warnings
Always discard the vial after one use and never reuse the dropper.

Immediately proceed to your nearest emergency department if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.

Cyclomune Eye Drop is not always suitable for all patients.
