The medication works by penetrating the tissue of warts and preventing them from dividing and multiplying. The solution is prescribed to treat genital warts that appear on the outside of the body, replacing the wart cells with new healthy tissue.

Dalacin-C containing the active ingredient clindamycin is considered a lincosamide antibiotics type of medication. The medication works by preventing bacteria from producing essential proteins they require to grow, replicate and spread throughout the body. The remaining bacteria will eventually be killed off by the immune system. It is mainly used in the treatment of infections to the abdomen, pelvic cavity, gums, joint and bones, skin and soft tissue.
