What is Lipicard-200?
Lipicard works by increasing certain natural substances that break down fats in the blood and speed up the natural processes that remove cholesterol from the body. The active ingredient fenofibrate is considered a fibrates type of medication. The medication should be used along with a proper exercise program, a balanced diet and other lifestyle changes to help increase the amount of “good” cholesterol or high density lipoprotein (HDL) and lower “bad” cholesterol or low density lipoprotein (LDL) in the blood. Monitoring cholesterol levels can help decrease the risk of heart attacks, strokes, angina (chest pain), heart disease and atherosclerosis (clogged arteries).

How is Lipicard-200 used?
Lipicard should be taken as directed by a doctor, usually once daily. The capsules should be taken with some food along with a full glass of water. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage as it will depend on the condition being treated and the patient’s response to the treatment. The capsules should be taken whole and not crushed, split or broken before consuming. Do not discontinue the medication without consulting a doctor, even if you feel well, as high cholesterol usually has no visible symptoms.
