What is Minirin Nasal Spray?
Minirin Nasal Spray containing the active ingredient desmopressin is considered a vasopressin analogue or antidiuretic hormone. It is used to manage certain types of diabetes “water diabetes”, a condition which the body produces an abnormally large amount of urine. The medication can also be used to control excessive thirst and abnormally large amount of urine that may occur after certain types of surgery or head injury. Some patients may also use the spray to control nighttime bedwetting in children.

How is Minirin Nasal Spray used?
Minirin Nasal Spray should be administered to the nose 1 to 3 times per day or as directed by a doctor. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and application method as it will depend on the patient's condition and their response to the treatment. Split the recommended dosage evenly and apply half the dose in each nostril. Prior to the initial dose of the medication or if the bottle has not been used in over one week, the bottle will need to be properly primed before usage.

Adverse effects
Minirin Nasal Spray may cause unwanted side effects such as:
