What is Ethics Enalapril?
Ethics Enalapril containing the active ingredient enalapril maleate is considered an angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor type of medication. It works by decreasing certain chemicals to relax and widen the blood vessels to allow blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump blood more efficiently. It can be used to treat congestive heart failure and hypertension (high blood pressure). Lowering high blood pressure can help prevent strokes, heart attacks and kidney problems.
How is Ethics Enalapril used?
Ethics Enalapril is usually taken orally 1 to 2 times per day or as directed by a doctor. The tablets can be taken with or without food but should be taken with a full glass of water. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage as it will depend on the patientís condition and their response to the therapy. Do not discontinue the treatment without consulting a doctor, even if the patient is feeling better, as high blood pressure generally has no visible symptoms.
Patients using Ethics Enalapril may encounter unwanted side effects such as:
- Dizziness or lightheadedness
- Dry cough
Contact a doctor immediately should side effects persist or encounter more severe side effects such as:
- Loss of taste or appetite
- Blurred vision
- Abdominal pain
- High potassium blood levels
- Change in amount of urine
Immediately proceed to your nearest emergency department if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.
Ethics Enalapril is not always suitable for all patients.
