What is Zyrtec?
Zyrtec is an antihistamine used to temporarily relieve symptoms of hay fever and allergic reactions. The medication blocks histamines and treats symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, itchy nose, watery eyes, hives and itchy skin. It cannot be used to prevent allergic reactions or treat severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis).

Zyrtec is usually taken orally once per day or as directed by a doctor. It can be taken with or without food but should be taken with plenty of water. Dosage usually depends on the patient’s condition and the reaction to the medication, consult a doctor for the correct dosage.
